Life Of Pi is an incredible story about Piscine Patel, a boy who lived in Pondicherry, India.

His mother is a botanist while his father owns a zoo. Due to political unrest in the country, his father made the decision to emigrate the family (and some of their animals) to Canada.

While en-route to Canada, a terrible storm hit Tsimtsum, the Japanese cargo ship that they were travelling on and the ship sank, bringing along with it everyone on board.
Well, almost.

Pi found himself adrift on a lifeboat with a couple of unlikely survivors - a Zebra with an injured leg, a Hyena still weak from anaesthesia, an Orang Utan who came floating by their lifeboat on a bunch of bananas and Richard Parker - a sea-sick Bengal tiger.

The story chronicled their 227 days of voyage across the Pacific Ocean, as Pi struggles against all odds to stay alive, placing his trust in God while at the same time learning how to outwit the hungry tiger who has already eaten the remaining animals.

Will Pi eventually reach land before the ravenous Richard Parker devours him?

Life of Pi is a tale of courage, perseverance, inspiration and hope.
